Passivity Analysis and Passivation of Interconnected Event-Triggered Feedback Systems Using Passivity Indices

چکیده
In this paper, passivity and passivation problems for event-triggered feedback interconnected systems are addressed. We consider passivity in two event-triggered control schemes based on the location of the event-triggered samplers: sampler at plant output and sampler at controller output. For both schemes, we first derive the conditions to characterize the level of passivity for the interconnected system using passivity indices. The event-triggering condition proposed guarantees that these indices can be achieved. Then the passivation problem is considered and passivation conditions are provided. The passivation conditions depend on the passivity indices of the plant and controller and also the event-triggering condition, which reveals the trade off between performance (passivity level) and communication resource utilization.

متن کاملPassivity-Based Stability Analysis and Robust Practical Stabilization of Nonlinear Affine Systems with Non-vanishing Perturbations
This paper presents some analyses about the robust practical stability of a class of nonlinear affine systems in the presence of non-vanishing perturbations based on the passivity concept. The given analyses confirm the robust passivity property of the perturbed nonlinear systems in a certain region. Moreover, robust control laws are designed to guarantee the practical stability of the perturbe...
متن کاملA Feedback Passivation Design for DC Microgrid and Its DC/DC Converters
Abstract: There are difficulties in analyzing the stability of microgrids since they are located on various network structures. However, considering that the network often consists of passive elements, the passivity theory is applied in this paper to solve the above-mentioned problem. It has been formerly shown that when the network is weakly strictly positive real (WSPR), the DC microgrid is s...

This paper presents a constructive algorithm to design local controllers for feedback systems that are interconnected via time-varying and asynchronous sampling. These systems result in many application fields such as remotely-operated systems, interconnected vehicle control loops, and more generally in component-based control design where synchronous exchange of information is not feasible. متن کاملEvent-triggered output feedback control for networked control systems using passivity: Achieving L2 stability in the presence of communication delays and signal quantization
When network induced delays are considered in the event-triggered control literature, they are typically delays from the plant to the network controller and a tight bound on the admissible delays is usually imposed based on the analysis of inter-event time to guarantee stability of the event-triggered control systems. In this paper, we introduce a framework for output feedback based event-trigg...
